Beyond Definition (formerly Bates Creative) is preparing for Capitol Communicator’s Communicator Summit on Thursday, September 26th at Pier 5 Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. The agency for mission- and member-driven organizations is a proud sponsor and exhibitor at the event and will be leading a panel featuring Debbie Bates-Schrott, CEO and founder of Beyond Definition and Mark DeVito, president of Beyond Definition.

Formerly Baltimore’s Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit, the Communicator Summit aims to be Baltimore-centric and represents the convergence of all communication elements, including advertising, marketing, public relations, media, graphic design and production products, and services. 

Beyond Definition’s Panel: Breaking the Brand 

Debbie and Mark will speak to approximately 225 professionals in the business of advertising, marketing, public relations and media space about the rewards and challenges of reimagining a brand.

The panel discusses the challenges and the rewards of ‘breaking your brand’ and evolving into a new entity. Taking the perspective from industry leaders who have either recently undergone a brand evolution or those who are about to go through their own brand surgery, the panelists will dig deep into the personal stories that make this process fragile and intimate, while staying focused on the outcome and reasons to change and evolve. Each speaker will touch on specific universal challenges that companies often face and offer positive tactics that can help brands overcome known hurdles.
